NH Mechelen is situated in the very heart of the historical city centre of Mechelen, easily accessible from Brussels International Airport. The beautiful cities Antwerp, Brussels, Lier and Louvain are nearby Mechelen. The highway E19 Brussels-Antwerp and the industrial parks of Mechelen are a few minutes driving from the hotel.
On the first floor of the hotel is a conference room with daylight, for about 12 people, and the pleasant breakfast room can also be used as a meeting and function room in the afternoon. The rooms can, of course, be provided with all the necessary equipment such as a flip chart, overhead projector and screen. Lunch can be provided there or near the hotel, either by the hotel or by an outside caterer. The breakfast room and conference room can be used for breakfast meetings, staff meetings and small-scale management meetings.

Food and beverages

The hotel's restaurant, Martinique, is situated opposite the hotel and provides menu changes every 7 weeks. Despite it's location, room service is still available on request.

They offer a wide variety of French/ Oriental cuisine and an extensive wine list.

There is a capacity of up to 60 guests.

The daily menu or complete three-course menu are at an additional cost of EUR 35,00.

Lunch can be taken in the breakfast room and is provided by an outside caterer.

The Honour Bar is open 24 hours and is self-service.

Area information

Mechelen is situated right halfway between of Brussels and Antwerp.
It is a city in its own right. Mainly due to the excellent tourist attractions like:
Technopolis, animal garden Planckendael, toy museum and of course the rich cultural heritage.
Mechelen is also a very important business city.

Coming from Brussels
- motorway E19 - Mechelen - Antwerpen.
Exit Mechelen Zuid and cross the first bridge
Arriving at the intersection, go straight ahead under a railroad-bridge and cross the second bridge (over a canal)
At the central station, on your right hand side, you go straight ahead (Hendrik Consciencestraat)
You arrive at a big intersection, there you turn left (Schuttersvest)
Go straight ahead untill you see a mediaeval gate, turn there right at the traffic lights (Hoogstraat)
You can see the hotel on the corner of the second street on your left side (Korenmarkt - Spiegelstraat).

Coming from Antwerp
- motorway E19 - Mechelen - Brussel.
Exit 'Mechelen Noord', at the end of the exit you follow right directions 'Mechelen Centrum'
At the second traffic lights, on your right hand side a Mac Donald, you go right
Go straight ahead untill you see a mediaeval gate, turn there right at the traffic lights (Hoogstraat)
You can see the hotel on the corner of the second street on your left side (Korenmarkt - Spiegelstraat).

Cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.

City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs EUR 10.00 per hour.

Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 17.00 per person.

Parking: Private parking is possible on site and costs EUR 9.00 per day.
